About the project
The Coordination Action GO4SEM is aimed at giving policy advice (e.g. on standardisation or education), at spreading awareness of global market trends and opportunities and at triggering the creation of dedicated professional networks in the field of electric mobility. GO4SEM bases on a thorough analysis of the supply chains in the United States, Japan, China and India, and on matching with the competencies of small/medium size companies (SMEs) and regional clusters in Europe.
Central project goals are leading European companies to consider an adaption of their dedicated technology to requirements of electric mobility markets abroad and seizing the related economic opportunities. GO4SEM will also give input through assisting the European Commission in setting up ICT focused research agendas for Horizon 2020 and the future European Green Cars Initiative PPP, especially with respect to dedicated initiatives targeted SMEs.
Within its core consortium, GO4SEM integrates major industrial partners of cross sectoral domains active in the industry in the field of electric mobility in order to achieve a common understanding on infrastructure needs and framework requirements. To achieve a wider spectrum of insight, the project will also involve other organisations as associated partners.
GO4SEM started on September 2013 and is planned for 24 months. The project is funded by the European Commission Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content & Technology.
